He will head MMV Financial’s newly established office in Montreal where he will be responsible for deal origination and portfolio management in the technology and life sciences sectors within Quebec.

Jacques brings over 10 years of experience in the high technology sector in both Canada and the United States. Prior to joining MMV Financial, Jacques was Director, Information Technology at Desjardins Venture Capital, where he was responsible for new investments in the IT sector and management of the portfolio. Before joining Desjardins, Jacques held the position of Partner at CDP Capital – Technology Ventures, where he worked closely with portfolio companies by providing financial, operational and strategic expertise. He sat on numerous boards in Canada and United States and represented CDP as lead investor in companies such as Think Dynamics (acquired by IBM, NYSE: IBM), Pyderion Contact Technologies (acquired by Intecom Inc., subsidiary of EADS), and Tecsys (TSX: TCS). Prior to CDP Capital – Technology Ventures, he was an Analyst at GTI Capital, one of Montreal’s leading venture capital firms.
