on Patterson is Executive Vice President and co-founder of MMV Financial Inc. Ron was a Senior Partner at MM Venture Partners (predecessor firm) joining in early '99, six months after its inception.

As EVP, Ron is responsible for all aspects of MMV Financial's business with a particular focus on business development and sourcing new opportunities. Ron has been in the investment business for over 17 years and has over 14 years of experience in technology finance. Ron's wide range of experience includes sourcing, structuring and providing debt financing to dozens of companies in both the technology and life sciences sectors. Ron has also worked extensively with senior management teams of early to later stage technology companies to help them build their businesses. This includes fund raising, strategy, team building, acquisitions, etc. Through this period Ron has built an extensive network of relationships in both Canada and the US.

Prior to joining MM Ventures, Ron was a partner and shareholder of Quorum Funding Corporation, a top technology focused venture fund for over 5 years. As a member of the six-person management team Ron played an active role in the development and growth of its portfolio companies. Ron sat on a variety of boards while at Quorum.

Prior to Quorum, Ron spent 3 years in corporate finance at Gordon Capital Corporation, a leading Canadian investment bank based in Toronto that was subsequently purchased by HSBC Securities. As part of the management team Ron participated in a number of public offerings and M&A transactions. Ron Joined Gordon after graduating with an Honours Business Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON.
